1000 HOURS!!!

1000 HOURS!!!
I’ve hit one of my goals!

Since starting counselling I’ve now logged 1000 hours of counselling with clients!

To say I’m chuffed about this is an understatement. I’m also very grateful to all of the clients, who I’ve worked with in these first 1000 hours, that have trusted me with the issues that have been troubling them.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me and to those who have supported me on Facebook by Liking and Sharing my posts. Without your support I wouldn’t be as busy as I am.

Here’s to the next 1000 hours!

I returned from Strathclyde University on Saturday night and I’m delighted with how my course is going. I’m really enjoying it and am now able to extend my private practice to include under 18s. I’ve got a limited amount of spaces, so if you are under 18 and want counselling, or if you know someone who is under 18 and think they might benefit from counselling, let me know by contacting me on here or via my mobile or private message me via my Facebook page.

Counselling can help a young person work things out by giving them a safe space and the room to be heard, without judgement or criticism.

Thank you!

Hi everyone and a belated Happy New Year!
June 2018 saw the start of my counselling business and since then it has grown steadily into a full time practice spread across three locations!
I’m obviously delighted about this and would like to thank everyone who has helped me get up and running. It would be impossible to name everyone but I know that without the assistance I have received from everyone, I would not be in the position I am in right now.
So if you are one of my clients past or present, or if you’ve mentioned my practice to someone who has needed help, if you have promoted my business in any way, if you have guided me, supported me or generally kept me right then I am sincerely grateful for your help.
2019 has seen a busy start and it looks like this will continue but I wont take this for granted. I’ll continue to commit to every one of my clients as much as I did last year and if you can continue to promote my private practice as you did last year then I am very grateful for your support 🙂
For a few days in April and May I start a course in Strathclyde University to enable me to provide a counselling service for young people from the age of 11 years old. There is a need for this locally and at some point in the summer I’ll be looking to start working with young people from 11 years old and older.

“….enabled me to freely discuss my most deep seated problems.”

“I would highly recommend Ian Innes to anyone seeking counselling.

His non-judgemental approach enabled me to freely discuss my most deep seated problems. His empathy in turn led to me feeling more accepting and forgiving of myself.

After leaving each session with Ian, despite discussing painful issues, I always felt happy and hopeful. I could clearly see I had made progress, week after week.

I am grateful to Ian for his part in helping me to live a much happier and healthier life”

“Magnificent results…..”

“I would highly recommend Ian to anyone. Ian exhibited that he could be trusted by emphasising confidentiality was paramount and what was said in the room stayed in the room. From the outset Ian was warm, approachable and encouraging and I could see he was invested in my success.

Ian displayed empathy and concern; he had the ability to truly imagine what it was like to stand in my shoes. This in turn made me feel understood and heard. Ian noticed the subtle nuances within my voice tone and body language and his additional skills such as active listening and reflection encouraged me to share repressed thoughts, feelings and beliefs. Ian communicated understanding and acceptance of powerful emotions that were being discharged within the room and had the ability to relate with an open, non-judgemental attitude, accepting me for who I was with my situation. Ian was able to ‘start where I was at’ and patiently waited for me to open up, he was a realist who recognised the long standing and maladaptive  behaviours I displayed could not be quickly unlearned and he patiently guided me in the process of self-discovery. Magnificent results which made me end procrastinating and move on with life.”

Two Friday appointments now available in Ardach

Busy busy!

I have now only got two appointment slots available in Ardach!!
Both are on a Friday as Thursdays are now fully booked.

Please get in touch soon if you want to put your name against either of these slots.

The good news is that I do have more availability outside of Ardach but once these two slots are gone, it may be a while before any more are available in the health centre.

If you are considering counselling drop me an email or simply give me a phone and I’ll arrange a date for you to start.

My availability….

I’ve got appointments available working from home now, as well as on Thursdays and Fridays in Ardach Health Centre, Buckie and, newly added to my schedule from October, on Tuesdays in Fochabers Medical Practice

I’m starting to be quite busy so let me know if you’d like to book appointments at my home, or in Ardach, Buckie or go on my waiting list for Fochabers Medical Practice

If you know someone who might benefit from counselling let them know that this local service is available to them.

Thank you for your support.
